If you are in the pursuit of wow and you desire an exclusive and remote experience that’s not in a brochure, let us bring you to the North Queensland Outback via helicopter in partnership with Jarramali Rock Art Day Tours.

There is nowhere else in the world where you can start at the Great Barrier Reef, venture through Tropical Rainforest and end up on the remote Cape York Peninsula that takes your breath away. Be blown away by the red and yellow sandstone escarpment, and gain an insight into the ancient and rich culture of the Kuku-yalanji people!

Fly over magnificent rivers and vast landscapes before landing on ancient sandstone escarpments. As well as being home to some of the best Aboriginal Rock Art in Australia, be amazed by the remarkable views of the Queensland Outback from Jarramali Camp, Laura. The quality of the view increases as you realise that you stand on ancient cliffs that were once an ancient seabed.

Unload the city dust from your mind and soak up the environment as you learn from your tour guide about the traditional uses of plants and trees and how the plant is valued by our people. Sample the different resources the bush provides, you can taste, chew and enjoy.

Out of the hundreds of Quinkan Rock sites near Laura, Qld we take you to a pristine and culturally significant rock art site called 'Magnificent Gallery' that archaeologists predict is a 20,000-year-old outback museum. This is an ancient gallery that is outstanding for its variety, quantity and quality, and is home to over 450 pieces of art. Your knowledgeable Kuku-yalanji guide will guide you through the gallery and interpret the art.

After the 1.5 hour rock art tour, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch and glass of wine in a purpose-built enclosure nestled among eucalyptus trees with panoramic views of the expansive gorge. The return trip to Cairns or Port Douglas provides exhilarating views of the tumbling waterfalls of the Daintree Rainforest and the stunning coastline of Cairns and Port Douglas.
